The Atlanta Dream has many wonderful community initiatives and events, and one of those programs is their Dream Pink Initiative. Dream Pink was created as a way to raise awareness and to educate women about breast cancer.
During their regular season, the Dream hosts a “Dream Pink” game, at this game the focus is on breast cancer awareness, including the entertainment aspects. Then after the game, The Dream hosts a live auction that raises funds for the Grady Foundation. The auction usually features items like game-worn jerseys, player experience and sports memorabilia, as well as many other exciting prizes.
In addition to the Dream Pink game and auction, the WNBA team also hosts a Spa Day for breast cancer patients at Grady Memorial Hospital.
